Get to know your pastors

We wanted to give you an opportunity to know us a little better – what makes us “tick”…the things that inspire us, the things we enjoy and quite frankly – to have a little fun!
The only rule was this…no “Sunday School answers allowed!”  You know, where “Jesus!” and “The Bible!” are the “right answers” shouted by well intentioned children.  Every pastor lists “The Bible” as their favorite book and “Jesus” as the person they most want to spend a day with.  We know.  We get it. We’re having fun now.

Brad Hoganson

Spouse: Traci
Kids: Shea and Camden
Book(s) that are currently on the nightstand: “The Hour That Changes the World” by Dick Eastman
Currently on the iPod:  I’m all over the place in my musical tastes – I love listening to worship stuff by Brian Doerksen and Chris Tomlin (that feels like a “Sunday School answer”!)  Recently my friend Mike turned me on to JJ Grey & Mofro and I love the vibe!
Last movie seen in a theater:  Seriously, I have a 7 year old and a 10 year old – I only get to the theater if it’s animated by Pixar or Dreamworks!  Sadly, the last movie I saw in the theater was “Wall-E”
Movie I refuse to watch:  I don’t know why but I refuse to watch “ET”, “Turner and Hooch” and “The Sound of Music”
Things that make me smile:  Listening to my son call Mike S “Juicebox Boy” (an obscure Will Ferrell/Mike Ditka reference from “Kicking and Screaming”) and anytime I get to spend with friends telling stories and laughing!
Favorite Scripture: Colossians 2:13-15  “When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.  And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”
